The word Airsoft is used when describing the SPORT of Airsoft and the equipment used in game.
Airsoft Equipment
Airsoft toys or models are replicas of real life weapons, although the plastic equipment looks fairly real, they are designed to be very safe and legal. They fire 6mm/8mm plastic ball bearings weighing from 0.12g to 0.43g, most commonly used is 0.20g . Currently replicas propel the BBs using either a pure-gas, spring or electric-powered gas system. The bottom line, is it's meant to be fun and safe. Airsoft equipment is used on the target range, collecting and the sport of airsoft itself.
Airsoft Games
The sport of airsoft is basically like paintball. Often played on paintball style fields and enviroments. There are two teams who play can play a number of different scenarios similar to paintball. A player is considered "hit" and therefore out of play when a BB touches them when projected from an opponents Airsoft model. The winning team is normally either the one with players still in play, or the one which achieves the scenario's goal first.
AIRSOFT MODELS ARE ONLY TO BE BOUGHT & USED BY RESPONSIBILE PERSONS AGED 18 AND OVER. THE USER AND PEOPLE IN THE VICINITY MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION. THE EQUIPMENT IS ONLY TO BE USED ON PRIVATE LAND WHERE IS SAFE TO DO SO AND AT AIRSOFT SITES.
AIRSOFT RULES
- Never point your airsoft model at any person or animal.
- Never look down the barrel or point the gun at yourself
- Never use in a public place, or land where it is not safe to do so, or where you do not have permission.
- When picking up an airsoft model also check that the safety is on.
- Never point an airsoft model at anything which is not safe to shoot. Always pay attention to the direction your airsoft model is pointing
- Always treat airsoft models as if they were loaded, even if you previously put it down empty.
- Always carry your airsoft models covered up safely and secure in a suitable bag or box if in a public place.
- Never leave an airsoft model unattended and keep out of the reach of children. Store you airsoft model and bb's so that no unauthorised person has access.
- Always wear protective googles or face mask when using or within the vicinity.
- Always use a large, safe backstop to catch your bb's and always take careful note as to what is behind, should you miss the backstop.
The Swords part of Airsoft-Swords-Movies refers to collecting, practising arts and practical use of Swords,Axes,Speras,knives and other similar items. This ranges for the simply display of weapons to the practical use in martial arts. Weapon blades come in various states.
Blunt - Where the Blade edge is flat or rounded. Perfect for display and collecting
False edged - Where the blade has an edge but is dulled a few millimetres to make is less sharp, similar to a letter opener. The makes the blade appear to be sharp. Again perfect display.
Sharp - Both for display and practical use. For expert use in martial arts. Practical use in camping, bushcraft, DIY and hobbies such as model making.
ANY BLADED ITEMS SHARP OR BLUNT ARE ONLY TO BE BOUGHT & USED BY RESPONSIBLE PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 18. ITEMS MUST NOT BE USED IN ANY INAPPROPRIATE MANNER.
SWORD RULES
- Always be careful when handling any weapon, sharp or blunt. Pay attention to people, pets and objects around you.
- Do not carry bladed items in public. Use a suitable bag or box to safely and securely hold items when in a public place.
- Do not act in any inappropiate or immature manner with any bladed items sharp or blunt.
- Only use items where you have permission and it is safe to do so.
- Only store or display items where it is safe and secure, making sure they are out of the reach of children and pets.
Movie memorabilia is the collecting or display of anything from the world of film. This includes Posters, Swords, Props, Replicas, Statues, Sculptures, Models and basically anything thats ever been used in films, in anyway way, shape or form!
